The eternal debate: to resolve or not resolve, that is the question. Perhaps Hamlet’s pondering was a bit more philosophical (with far tragic consequences), but the musings seems to strike many of us as the calendar dwindles down its end. To make a resolution or not? What resolution to make? Does the very act of making a resolution doom it to failure? Is there anyone who keeps a resolution?

Which leads me to the Bitter/Sweet Debate: Do New Year’s Resolutions make us chumps or champs?

According to Wikipedia (debate the validity among yourselves), only 12% of people who make New Year’s Resolutions obtain their goals. That’s pretty Bitter, but it also goes on to state that people are more likely to meet those goals if:

Men: Engage in goal setting, a system with smaller, measurable goals

Women: Make goals public and seek support from friends and family
